Teddy Bear Picnic

In October Elle and I took the girls to the Teddy Bear Picnic in the Botanical Gardens. It was quite crowded and not a lot happening but it was a nice day to sit and people watch!

This guy was pretty funny - he was just a random dude from the library who (I'm guessing) was asked to come and read some stories to the children! I think he was a bit overwhelmed when they gave him a mic and he realised he had all these kids and parents to entertain! He did a good job!

After we escaped the 'teddy bear picnic area' we went for a bit of a walk around the grounds. It's such a beautiful place really. It really was an escape though because as we were sitting on the grass watching the events quite happily this grandmother and mother with 2 children pushed their pram next to us and asked us to watch it for a few minutes while they went and got a ballon (or something). Elle kindly said 'sure, no worries' which was fine - until quite a lot of time passed and they hadn't returned!!!! We started getting annoyed cause we wanted to go! I can't remember how long it had been but it was ages (like nearly and hour!) and we weren't really sure what to do! We couldn't see them anywhere so we made a run for it and hoped they didn't see us leave!!! How strange!
