Emily's First Day At Pre-School

Emily was very excited about her first day of Pre-School at The Colligate Early Learning Centre in South Hobart. As you can see she was very happy to put on her new uniform! Leilani was very proud of her too! When we got there she got a little shy though and was not too sure about staying. She had a few little tears to start with but was okay by the time we left. She only stayed for a few hours on her first day and seemed to enjoy it - especially music time with the music teacher!

Regatta

Elle and I took the girls to the Regatta for a few hours this year. It's been ages since I have been to the Regatta! There wasn't a real lot to see and there seemed to be A LOT of bogans around!!!!!!! It was a beautiful sunny day though and the girls loved the big jumping castle and this boat road! Emily was fascinated with how they got the water there! :-)

Mick's Kite

Mick loves to fly his kite. He has had it for a long time and even took me out to this same spot to fly it when we were dating! He often takes the kids here to fly it - usually when I'm out or something. They love it too - especially Leilani. Emily just likes to chase the kite's shadow! It was nice to go along with them this time - it was another beautiful Sunday afternoon!

Mick is pretty good at flying the kite. It's quite fun to watch him do fast twists and twirls!

Richmond Maze

Leilani, Emily and I had a lovely day at Richmond with some of the cousins during the holidays. It was a beautiful day and Richmond is such a nice place to walk around. We left the cars at the park over the bridge and walked into town and down to the Maze. It got quite hot in the Maze and we were so thankful to finally get out of there!!!! Lots of fun though!

We then walked back to the park via the Lolly Shop and had a yummy picnic lunch by the water - thanks for sharing with me Mel, Jac and Lin! After the kids had a big play we drove back into the town and visited the bakery for some take home bread and had a look in the Teddy Bear Shop. It was a perfect day and I really enjoyed it! Thanks girls!

Just Some Funny Pictures!

Sunday Afternoons

It's so exciting going back to morning church after 12months of afternoon church! I do enjoy afternoon church though, but after 12months I'm usually ready for the change. We headed off to St Davids Park for a play one Sunny Sunday afternoon in January. Leilani has really taken to the tennis racket lately so we want her to keep having a go while she is enjoying it.  She is such an all-rounder this kid - if I do say so myself!!!

After our play we headed off to Mum & Dad's for a yummy roast dinner! I love Sundays!

I'm really thankful that Sunday is a different day to all the rest. I'm thankful that we get to go off to Church each week and remember our Saviour Jesus Christ and all that He has done for us. I know sometimes I don't feel like it and sometimes I'd like to just stay home and treat it like another Saturday - but it's not. The Sabbath is a special day, a day to rest, a day to worship, and a day to prepare for the upcoming week. My week just wouldn't be the same without it.

Painting

The girls were given these great little animals to paint at Christmas. They had a wonderful time with them and they still have a few left to do!
