Out and About!

While I was away these two kept their Daddy very busy exploring Hobart and beyond! Hobart is such a great place to live. Especially when you get such nice weather.

These little bikes went with them everywhere!!! Yes - the girls are too big for them, and yes they do have bigger bikes, but they still just love riding them!!! And why not!!!?

Believe

I went over to the Melbourne Temple in October with Mum, Elle, Lisa and Stan. We went as part of the Hobart Stake Week at the Temple. It was really nice to be there with lots of people that you know and I'm really glad we made the effort to get there. We were only there for 2 days and spent most of our time in the Temple so it was really special.

It's nice to be reminded of what's important in life, to take time to remember our goals, our hopes and our dreams. There is something really special about entering the Temple and leaving the world behind and all the worries that come with day to day life.

Life and its trials are easier to deal with when you know there is a purpose to it all. I'm thankful that we have standards to live by, that we have made covenants at Baptism and in the Temple that we try to keep. I'm thankful that we are encouraged to do our best and be our best and to always keep trying. There are so many things I want to be better at, things I know I can be better at, and I know if I do keep trying one day I'll get there!

Mosiah 4:9

Believe in Godbelieve that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.

Don't you just love that time of day

....when they get out of the bath and into their pj's and they smell all fresh and clean!!

Every night is the same, we clean teeth and go to the toilet, we read a few books and say our prayers. We cuddle Minnie and Mickey and lay next to Lion and Sheepie our pillow pets! We give hugs and kisses and if we have been really good Mummy and Daddy lay down with us for a few minutes and scratch our backs! If we are really tired we fall straight to sleep - but if we are a little restless we laugh and giggle for a while until mummy yells 'go to sleep'! It's fun having a sister to share a room with!!!

Nan's 80th Birthday

Nan celebrated her 80th Birthday in September. We decided it would be nice to take her out to lunch, so thats what some of us did! We went to Petty Sessions in Franklin, it was a nice little restaurant but the food was a bit slow! It was lovely to be out for lunch though and I think Nan really appreciated it!

Mum made a Super Duper Chocolate Mud Cake....

Nan blew out the candles.... and the kids enjoyed!!!!!!!

It was a nice way to spend the day with out beautiful Nan. She is so kind and giving and she loves and adores her family. She always puts on a happy face and will tell you the latest happenings. She doesn't complain and always speaks kind words. She is fun and loveable and has all kinds of different talents. I think we are all really lucky to have her as our Nan. We all love her to bits! xx

Outside Girls

Leilani and Emily are not really 'outside girls' but they do enjoy it every so often! They come out with me when I hang out the washing and once they get out there they usually entertain themselves with a made up game or 2 in the cubby! They do enjoy the garden, the flowers and the trees, but they hate bugs and flying insect and scream if anything comes their way! They have good imaginations though and they like to learn about nature and how things grow. I think they look cute out in the garden among the spring daffodils!

Aunty Elle had a Birthday

We celebrated Aunty Elle's birthday with a cake after our usual Sunday Baked Dinner at Mums. The kids get so excited when it's someones birthday.

We all love Aunty Elle. She's great with the kids and always keeps them well entertained. She helps out whenever you need her too and is great adult conversation when you've been stuck on your own with the kids all day. She's funny and kind and pretty smart. She cares about others and she has a strong spirit and a good sense of what's right and wrong.

I have loved having her live just a few minutes down the road and there are lots of things I wouldn't have been able to do this year if it wasn't for her. I enjoy her company and appreciated everything she does to help me with the girls. She loves her nieces and nephews and would do anything for them, and it shows by the things she does.

Hazel Comes To Play

One day in August while Leilani was at school, we had a little visitor come to play! She was very well behaved and kept Emily well entertained! They explored outside for a bit and then played dolls in the bedroom! Over the next few weeks Emily often asked 'Is Hazel coming to play today!?' It's fun having little friends come to visit!!!

We have a pretty good view from our back yard, one could not complain really!!!!
