Easter Morn

Easter is always exciting and this year was no different. Easter Bunny left the girls a super duper easter hunt this year with special clues and eggs along the way. Leilani and Emily thought it was fantastic! They were pretty excited.

We had Grandma and Poppa staying with us for a few nights over the Easter break, so that was nice.
I'd like to say that Chiara enjoyed her first Easter - but I don't think she had a clue as to what was going on!

School Fair

We walked up to the school fair on Saturday 31st March. It was buzzing with activity and the first thing we saw was a couple of grade 6's getting dumped on the water thingy - have no idea what it's called but you can see from the picture below!

Mr Willie (yes.... that's his name haha) is one of the grade 6 teachers and Leilani was very excited to watch him go down!

We checked out Emily and Leilani's art work on display and headed into the hall where they had lots of things to look at/buy. The craft stall was the main attraction but the Lucky Jars were also very popular. We then just had a bit of a look around - as you do at a school fair and waited for Leilani to return - she had gone off with her friends, which makes her seem so grown up! I was happy, but sad at the same time thinking of her wandering around at the fair with her friends. Mum and Aunty Elle joined us for a while and the weather wasn't to bad so it was actually quite a nice day! The girls had fun and talked about it a lot over the next couple of weeks!

At Home

Mount Stuart Primary School Fair was coming up in April so Anna and I got together and made some Eye Spy bags to donate for the Craft Stall. It was a busy day but it was nice to hang out together at the same time as being a bit productive!

Olivia and Chiara played together nicely! (Actually Chiara slept for most of the day but when she woke up Olivia had fun pushing her in the swing :-)

Emily and Jack also had fun playing together. They are in the same kinder class at school so they know each other well and enjoy each others company!

We didn't get them all finished like this in one day - but we got most of them started. There was rice and food colouring and felt and little bits and pieces everywhere for a few days until I got them finished! But it was worth it. We made 15 all up (I think) and all of them sold for $15.00 each, except 1, which was donated to the kindergarten!

I'm glad I took photos because I didn't even keep one for myself!!! I will make some more one day...!

March 2012

Super cool Chiara wearing Leilani's sun glasses!

Sleeping Beauty.... isn't she just so precious... love her so much!

{Chiara at 4 months old}

It's great living close to the girls primary school - not only so we can walk to and from school but it's also fun to go and play in the school playground on the weekends! Mick took the girls up for a play one Saturday and  they had a super time!

Pretty good view for a school! I love living in
 Mount Stuart!

Crazy Eyes!

A nice photo of our 3 little girls....except for Chiara's crazy eyes! Not quite sure what her problem was. hehehe

Leilani's 7th Birthday Party

Leilani celebrated her 7th birthday with a few friends from school. It was a fun day and it was nice to see Leilani so happy to have her school friends over for a party. It's also nice to get to know some of her friends a little better. You learn all sorts of things by watching how kids interact with each other.

We played musical chairs, the newspaper game, pass the parcel and had a treasure hunt. We also went down stairs and did some paper craft. Everyone made a tissue-paper flower and they all seemed to really enjoy doing that. We then opened presents and ate lots of yummy food. 2 hours goes really quickly and we had to keep things moving along so we didn't run out of time.

Aunty Elle came up and helped me keep everyone under control, which I was grateful for. Emily joined in and had fun being the little sister and Chiara was super, as always and slept the whole time!!

{Look how little our Lani is!!!}

{All the girls were so happy with their mini pillow pets}

{Leilani was soooooo slow opening up her presents - she read every card and looked at each present with great detail!}

{Echina Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake}

*A word on Ice Cream Cakes: It's best to only have an ice cream cake if you have a big deep freezer! It was pretty hard decorating it quickly (before it melted) and then trying to fit it in the bottom of the fridge/freezer!) If I had a nice deep freezer, it would have been super easy!!!!
