Back To School

Leilani's first day of Grade 1 was on the 15th February. She was super excited to meet her new teacher, Miss Hughes and some new grade 2 kids. She is in a 1/2 class and loving it.

Emily had to wait a few more days to start school. She started Kindergarten on Monday 20th Feb and was also really really excited about it. She has the same teacher that Leilani had in Kinder so she was very happy about that and felt very comfortable. She was also quite lucky to already know a few of the kids from ELC last year and also Issy from church.

Leilani goes 5 days a week and Emily goes 3 days - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Leilani has PE twice a week and Emily has it once. This photo was taken about a week after school started when they both had PE on the same day - hence the PE uniforms.

They have Daily Fitness every day, which I love. The great 6 kids organise and run this and the little kids love it because they build a great relationship with their 'Daily Fitness Leaders' and get to know a few of the 'big kids'. It's a great program.

January 2012

Chiara with her big sisters. She is 3 months old here and Emily is nearly 5 and Leilani nearly 7. Chiara is such a good baby and sleeps all night, every night. It makes such a difference when you get a good nights sleep.

We needed our sleep because we moved house in January. Just up the road to Keith White Crescent. We love it and are so much more comfortable here. It was a very busy few months and I was sick of all the packing and unpacking but it was definitely worth it. Leilani and Emily love their new room and spend a lot of time in there now.

Goodbye 2011 - Hello 2012

We spent the last day of 2011 down at the Docks checking out the boats and enjoying a little bit of awesome Hobart at this time of year!
We went home to watch the fireworks as we knew it might be our last chance to see them from the awesome view out our front window.
We watched the 9pm ones with the kids and then went to bed! We heard the midnight fireworks - slightly woke up and said 'happy new year' and went back to sleep! hahaha Sleep is very important these day and you don't want to miss the opportunity to get some shut eye when you can.

Love living in Hobart!

Boxing Day in George Town

What beautiful weather we had this Christmas. We decided to head up to George Town for a few hours. It was a lovely drive up there, I really enjoyed it. The boys did some fishing and the girls had a swim. It was a lovely little spot. These pictures remind me of Nice, France. I think it's the colours.

December 25th

December 25th - always such a special day for lots of reasons! I think the photos tell this happy story pretty well!

It was extra special because it was Chiara's first Christmas. It made me think back to each of the girls first Christmas's. So nice to spend the day with family.

Christmas 2011

On Christmas Eve we headed up to Launceston for a couple of nights. The weather was beautiful and the girls had a lovely time playing outside with their cousins. Leilani and Emily were so excited and couldn't wait for Christmas Day to arrive.

Food for the reindeers and letters for Santa were put out and then off to bed they went...
