2010 Cousins Trip

We thought the day was never going to arrive!!! But it finally did! We booked our tickets to head over to see Mary Poppins in Melbourne nearly 12 months ago and we were all very excited..... well most of us....

Alison was a little afraid.... as always!

We had a few hours spare before Mary Poppins started (about 6 actually!) so we just had to go shopping!!!!! Essendon DFO and Chadstone shopping centre..... here we come! After checking in to our Bourke Street Hotel and having a bit of show and tell we dressed up for our magical night out at Mary Poppins.

It was absolutely brilliant..... although I must say that I did start to get pretty tired after our busy shopping day (and the fact that I'm not used to staying out late!!!). I also found it a little frustrating that the stage show was quite different to the movie. You probably wouldn't notice it if you hadn't recently seen the movie over and over and over - but it's a favourite in our house so I know nearly every line in it and some of the best bits weren't even on stage! :-(  Still loved it though and I got a Mary Poppins doll (barbie size) to take back for Leilani and Emily - one each - so they were very excited!

We ended the night at Max Brenner.  Claire and I got a chocolate pizza to share - it was yum!
